Treetop Retreat

This unique chalet style home situated on steeply sloped lot previously had no usable front yard, a narrow driveway, and aging, rotted decks. Along with the major home remodel and expansion, we brought the landscape to life again and maximized usable space.

New terraced retaining walls along the driveway both expanded the space and allowed for steps up to the front entry. This also created a level front yard for a peaceful artificial grass area sheltered by the beautiful mature oak trees.

The front upper level deck was rebuilt with Ipe wood and stainless steel cable railing, allowing for full enjoyment of the surrounding greenery.

At the rear of the home, a two-level Redwood deck built around a dramatic oak tree as a focal point, provided a large and private space. An outdoor kitchen island nestled under the tree branch allowed for easy entertaining options.

In addition, all new Redwood fencing, planting, rock walls, water and stone features, low-voltage LED landscape lighting, and drip irrigation systems were installed.

Backyard Bliss

Part of another full home remodel, this typical rectangular San Francisco backyard was transformed into an inviting and usable outdoor living space.

New expansive double french doors open onto the custom concrete paver and Ipe wood patio. A generous L-shaped outdoor kitchen island frames the patio area and allows for ample storage and prep space.

A few steps down lead to a lounging area, featuring drought-friendly and maintenance-free artificial grass as well as a cozy, custom-built natural gas fire pit surrounded by a Redwood bench.

Redwood fencing, low-voltage LED landscape lighting, drip irrigation, planting and a water feature completed the space.
